Limited Edition "H" Model
'73 1/2 Vikea 420LG Wagon

Vikea's entry into the wagon market has proven to be somewhat of an enigma: Is it an mid-size sedan or a petite minivan? It's cargo carrying abilities rank amond the best in sedan's, especially in terms of flexiblity. The fold down third-row seat disappears into the floor during those intense combat situations, and can even be removed when the need arises for dual-dropper capactiy. Yet despite is ulitarian nature, the Vikea rides with Rattler-like suppleness, suffering only from slight body roll in corners.

On the other hand, our logbook comments tell us lack of power when loaded with droppers and mortar ammunition, leaving several editors pining for the Super High Output V-8. Furthermore, the 350ci V-8 doesn't have the silky smootheness we've come to epxect from Vikea International when coupled with their automatic trannys. From a purely asthetic point of view - the wagon needs alot of work. The lines are great, but unfortunately, when summed up, the wagon looks more like a box than a car.

And although the powder blue paint was put on well, aside for the built in beerstein mug cupholder, the sweedish interior is something only a hard-core Humil could love. On the plus side, in one tight combat situation near in the tight and brutal area of "Bouncy Bouncy", we were able to use the bare bones weapons mounts to great effect, pinning a larger Courchelle in a pool of naplam and oil, all the while launching high expolsive mortars. The car has the frustrating tendency to shift between gears at high way cruising speed - typically 65 miles per hour. At 5272 miles, we added a quart of oil. With that minor exception, the Vikea 240LG has been trouble free.

What's Hot... Cool paintjobs, reverse driving while laying down the dual droppers, the ideal car for grocceries or picking the kids up from school, doing risky jumps and not flipping, handles great in the wet.

What's Not... Bland styling, poor acceleration, limited weapon capacity, humiliating to drive at best.
